Approval of minutes from 2/18/10

• Motion from Angie to approve minutes from 2/18/10. Seconded by Romney. Unanimous approval.

Stats and Crime Updates

• Ronnie Stevens reported on an arrest near the intersection of Banks and Telemachus.

• Murder was on S. Gayoso, rapes were domestic in nature.

• Ronnie Stevens explained some of the differences between misdemeanor, felony and municipal arrests

• One car was in the shop for three days.

• Not enough cars available as take home cars.

• Need to consider buying an additional car. Consideration of expedition or truck in cases of high water, flooding.

• $35-$45K for an outfitted car including the car itself, cage, decaling, lights, etc. Requested that Ronnie get quotes for an additional car.

• Laptops have come in, the software companies are merging and so the laptops will receive the new software by the end of the week and the laptops will be installed into the cars.

Financial Update

• Legislative audit. From last meeting we got engagement letter, was signed, was approved by the legislative auditor. Will begin after April 15^th and will be done with ample time before they are due.

• New check received, where to deposit

• Working on getting authorizations for Ben and Colleen

Newsletter

• Ideas for newsletter include new commissioners.

• Jolie Bonck recommended which numbers to call, when, why

• Map again

• Amy Busby – a personal andecdote, good experiences with MCSD

• Allard person

• Refer folks to website, describe what is on the website, finances

• Magnets sent again

Susan Guidry moving to City Council

• Susan will work with Parkview to find replacement.

• Susan will write a letter of resignation.

New Commissioner Ben Misko

• As of today, Ben Misko is officially a commission on the Mid-City security district per the appointment of MCNO.

Survey Update

MCNO/MCSD PP Presentation (April 5^th, 6:30, Grace Episcopal)

• Commissioners can come.
